It is majorly being used as a People Management Tool to manage all the HR related activities across various departments. This is a solution to bring all activities at one place from recruitment/onboarding to Exit formalities. Also, it solves majority of problems of an employee as they can directly apply for leaves and can see all the documents in one place.
  • Easy to track everything like leaves, appraisals and performance.
  • The User Interface is very smooth and easy to use.
  • It supports mobile devices as well like Android and IOS.
  • Integration with different applications is a bit challenging.
  • Process flow is difficult to understand and hence implement.
  • Some of the features could be difficult to find.
This is very well suited only for large organizations if you want a platform to track everything at one place without any hassle. It is not very much suitable for startups or companies with limited number of employees.

Workday Cloud Platform is used throughout the organization. We have used it to track employee-related data, employees to submit time-off requests, allow employees to elect benefits or open enrollment, organization hierarchy or chart information, track goals, performance and any time feedback, merit process, view pay stubs, and many other ad-hoc business requests.
  • Mobile app with SSO is a great feature.
  • UI is very good.
  • Act as proxy works well for admins to debug issues.
  • Reporting tools can be improved.
  • Slow load time.
  • Automatic integration to outlook missing.
Workday Cloud Platform is well suited for large organizations who need a centralized database to handle all HRIS needs like employee data, PTO, payslip views, hiring and terminating employees, tracking goals, performance, enrolling in benefits, etc. Small organizations would not benefit from Workday. The amount of time and money required to walk through the Workday onboarding steps would not be worth the return for small scale industries.

Workday Cloud Platform is being used by our entire company. Workfront used Workday before we were acquired by Adobe, but Adobe also uses Workday. It helps with every aspect of our benefits. We also use it to track time for payroll. That is something new with Adobe, but it was an easy transition and the app is also very user friendly.

  • Tax and other yearly benefits.
  • In terms of time tracking it could be a little easier to enter your daily hours.
  • In terms of their app, it could be more customizable.
It is very user-friendly and covers almost everything when it comes to Employee/People Management. I know exactly what coverage I have and the coverage of each person in my family. It makes it very easy to know what you are paying in taxes and how much money is coming out of each paycheck. It puts everything, all of your personal information at your fingertips.

Workday Cloud Platform is used throughout the entire organization. We use it as a means for hourly workers to clock their hours, for employees to submit time off, for HR to send out offers and hire in employees and more. It creates a main source for employees to turn to for any HRIS needs.
  • Ease of Use for Hourly Employees - It is very easy and intuitive for hourly employees to clock in and out, track their hours, submit time off and so on. The app just recently underwent an update that made it even easier to clock in and out quickly with access from the homepage.
  • Inbox feature - Workday will send you tasks to your Workday inbox and guide you through completing them step-by-step. It makes learning new process and tasks all the more easy when you have a guide to help.
  • Customizable dispositions for candidates - The recruiting department will use completely customizable dispositions for job application candidates. This is a great feature for those hiring.
  • Glitching - Occasionally the app will glitch and shut down completely. Sometimes it can be when you are in the middle of something timely, causing frustration and issues. I haven't seen this happen as often recently.
  • Inbox - It would be helpful if Workday developed a feature to organize inbox tasks based off what department they are for, what the task is and so on. So you can quickly filter or look for the task at hand.
  • Candidate Tracking - Hiring managers throughout the company work with the HR department to track candidates, schedule interviews and so on. Workday does not always have the best interface in this regard. It could use a feedback feature for hiring managers to be able to be more involved, as they can be on other platforms.
The Workday Cloud Platform is best suited for larger companies that have mass amounts of employees to keep track of and many departments to hire for. I would not recommend Workday for a startup or smaller company. The HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) abilities are best used in large companies that have large needs from across the business that need to rely on one source.

We are using the Workday Cloud Platform mainly for RRHH and payroll processes. All communication among different departments and RRHH/Payroll areas is done through the Workday Cloud Platform. Time off requests, Org Chart information, payroll information, and specific requests, can be used easily with Workday Cloud Platform. Mobile App with SSO platform brings anywhere access so we can manage all this information quickly
  • You are saving time with “boring” and time-intensive traditional requests.
  • Notifications and approval process are very easy.

Traditional requests are boring and time-intensive. I used to spend a lot of time for time off requests, changing payroll information, or updating tax information for my company. For those reasons, not business-related activities were delayed or were not done. With Workplace Cloud Platform, you can easily bring all these activities into a single platform to deliver effectiveness to your employees in terms of RRHH or payroll activities. Simple platform integrated with your information systems to consolidated data. Also, the Workday Cloud Platform brings you a developing platform to grow your corporate knowledge.
